Multifocal soft contact lenses These soft contact lenses work just like the multifocal glasses. They are able to give improved vision for long and short visual distance without the use of glasses. Request information

RGP lenses

In some cases, when the glasses or soft contact lenses aren't able to correct the visual problem, a hard contact lens could be the best solution. This highly physiological lens is able to correct high or irregular astigmatisms. These could be found on corneas affected by different ectasias (keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration) or can be caused by corneal surgery. Optik Willy proposes you the following kind of RGP lenses:
For Keratoconus The keratoconus is a condition where the cornea loses it structure, becomes thinner and provokes an irregular astigmatism. Commonly, prescription glasses or a normal contact lens are not enough in the case of keratoconus. However, thanks to specially designed RGP lenses we will be able to correct this condition and gain a good vision. Request information
Post-surgical After surgery the cornea can develop an irregular astigmatism. In this case normal contact lenses or glasses aren't able to correct the refractive error. RGP lenses on the other hand have full potential to correct all types of astigmatisms and enhance vision, protecting the corneal physiology and respective health. Request information
For high astigmatisms Just like with the keratoconus, RGP lenses are able to correct high astigmatisms giving a good and stable vision. Request information
For orthokeratology Orthokeratology or ortho-k is a technique where a RGP lens is applied and worn during the night, whilst asleep. During the night this lens reshapes the cornea and corrects the visual error. During the day you will obtain improved vision without glasses or contact lenses. Ortho-k is also very important to control myopia development. Many studies can demonstrate that this technique is also able to slow down the development of myopia in young patient. Request information
